Bangladesh head coach Javier Cabrera said despite losing the first game his boys’ expectation is high and energy is good and looking forward to fight back in the second match against the Maldives.
He said through a video message during the team’s practice session on Friday.
Bangladesh will face Maldives in the second match of the two-match Tier-1 FIFA Friendlies scheduled to be held tomorrow (Saturday) at Bashundhara Kings Arena at 6 pm.
“We are prioritized to do recovery session for the players who did the swimming, ice birth and gym in the hotel. Players are positive after the recovery session again the expectation is high and energy is good and looking
forward to win the second match,” said the head coach.
“The first game was disappointing and painful for us despite having a good performance … we had a high expectation to win but could not achieve which was mentally difficult for the players”, he added.
Midfielder Sohel Rana also found hopeful to fight back strongly in the second
match against Maldives. “We deserved the win in the last but despite having a good performance, we could not avail it … each player of the team has confidence on their own to fight back strongly in the second match … I think we played the first match very well but at the end of the day we lost the match …. But now we have the ability to win the second match.” Sohel Rana said.
He also urged his team members to make the best use of opportunity of scoring during the play.
