Bangladesh U-23 football team suffered a 0-3 goal defeat to host Thailand U-23 team in their second group match of AFC U-23 Asian Cup 2024-qualifiers held at Chonburi Stadium in Thailand on Saturday.

Thailand scored all the three goals in the 43rd, 45+3rd and 85th minutes of the match.

It was the second consecutive defeats for Bangladesh in the tournament after losing the first match to Malaysia U-23 team by 0-2 goals in their group opening match.

Bangladesh which pitted in group H along with host Thailand, Malaysia and Philippines U-23 football teams, will play their last group match against Philippines Tuesday (Sept 12) at the same venue.

The tournament consists with eleven groups. The top five runners-up will play with the champions of each group in the main round.
