Bangladesh football team to play two preparatory matches in Saudi Arabia in March

The Bangladesh National Football Team has a plan to play two preparatory matches during their next month’s conditioning camp in Saudi Arabia ahead of their World Cup qualifying matches against Palestine in next month.

The Bangladesh football team is likely to fly to Saudi Arabia on March 2 and will conduct a conditioning camp there till March 17 before leaving for Kuwait.

Bangladesh will play their away match of the World Cup Qualifiers against Palestine in Kuwait on March 21 and their home match with Palestine in Dhaka on March 26.

Speaking to sports reporters at the BFF premises on Tuesday, Head Coach of Bangladesh team Javier Cabrera said, “During our training camp in Saudi Arabia, some other teams will also practice there, we will try to arrange at least two preparatory matches with available national sides there; otherwise, we try to play the matches with local club teams.”

“Some promising players, now playing in the BPL and Federation Cup Football impressed me, some of them may be included in the preliminary national squad,” he added.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh captain Jamal Bhuyan, who is now playing in the Argentine league, is expected to arrive in Dhaka on February 29 to join the national team.
