Iqbal Hossain made manager of national team

Former national footballer Iqbal Hossain has been made manager of Bangladesh national football team for another term ahead of the two FIFA friendly matches against Maldives and Mongolia during the FIFA window this month.

The decision has been taken today (Wednesday) at a national teams committee’s virtual meeting, presided by Bangladesh Football Federation’s (BFF) vice- president and national team’s committee’s chairman Kazi Nabil Ahmed, MP. Members of the national teams committee also joined in the meeting.

The meeting also made Masud Parvez Kaiser and Hasan Al Mamun as assistant coaches of the team for the two FIFA friendlier.

Bangladesh will go to Maldives on March 22 and play the friendly match against the hosts on March 24. On the following day the team will return and go straight to Sylhet, where they will play another friendly against Mongolia on March 29 in Sylhet district Stadium.

The players of the national team will report to team manager for the training camp on March 18 at city’s Five Star Hotel. The preliminary list of the team will be revealed either on March 13 or 14.

During the stay in Dhaka, the national football team will have their training from March 19 to 21 at Bashundhara Sports Complex.
