Deepto Television emerged as the new champions of the Cool-BSJA Media Cup Football tournament beating Kalbela by 3-1 goals in a tie-breaker in the final match held at artificial turf adjacent to the Bangladesh Football Federation today (Thursday).

The exciting final match rolled into a tie-breaker after the stipulated time ended goalless draw.

Earlier, in the morning, two semi-finals were also decided through tie-breakers. Deepto Television defeated Channel I in the semi-final, while Kalbela beat The Daily Star to reach the final.

The champions Deepto Television and runners-up Kalbela were awarded attractive trophies, prize money, and medals for each player.

Deepto Television captain Mirza Sakib was named player of the final for his outstanding performance. He was also adjudged the the best player of the meet.

Dhaka South City Corporation administrator Md Abdus Salam witnessed the day’s final as the chief guest and later distributed the prizes.
