BNP Divisional Organizing Secretary Mahbuber Rahman Shamim has announced that the Zia Football Tournament 2025 will be held at the Chattogram District Stadium on Friday, featuring former national and star footballers.

Speaking at a press conference at the stadium conference hall, Shamim said the event aims to revive interest in football and honor the memory of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, who declared independence from the Kalurghat Radio Station during the Liberation War.

He said the tournament, organized by the Bangladesh District and Divisional Sports Organizers Association with support from the National Sports Party, will begin with two morning matches, followed by the final at 3 pm.

BNP Standing Committee member and former minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury will be the chief guest at the final, while BNP Sports Secretary and former national team captain Aminul Haque will inaugurate the event.
