U-23 football team continue training in Vietnam

Bangladesh U-23 football team hold their second training session at the Phu Tho SC training ground in Vietnam today (Monday) ahead of their AFC Asian Cup tourney.

The players remain in high spirits, performing well and maintaining full concentration on their preparations. The session focused on tactical and technical drills, complemented by light fun activities to foster team spirit, according to a message received here from Bangladesh Football Federation.

Goalkeeping coach Masud Ahmed Uzzal was found hopeful with his team’s good result in the first match against Vietnam.

“The boys are technically and tactically very good condition and I hope that the boys will show good performance against in the first match against Vietnam,” Uzzal said through a video message.

“Vietnam is technically better side and their ranking is also better than us but I think the way our boys taking preparation and showing their attitude and high spirit I think they will able to snatch good performance against Vietnam,” he added.

Team’s goalkeeper Shakib Al Hasan said their preparation is going very well for the first match and upbeat to show good performance against in the first match against Vietnam.

Bangladesh have been drawn in Group-C alongside hosts Vietnam, Yemen, and Singapore. Bangladesh will start their tournament campaign taking on Vietnam Wednesday (Sept 3), followed by fixtures with Yemen on September 6 and Singapore on September 9.

All the matches will be held at Phu Tho provincial stadium.
