BFF Elite Academy make good start beating Fakirerpool Youngmen’s

BFF Elite Football Academy made a good start in the Bangladesh Championship League (BCL) Football’ 2023–24 season, beating Fakirerpool Youngmen’s Club by 3-2 goals in the league opener at the Bir Sherestha Shaheed Shipahi Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Dhaka’s Kamalapur on Monday afternoon.

Eight teams are taking part in the country’s second-tier professional football league (BCL) after the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), which began on Monday.

In the day’s league opener, BFF Elite Academy took the lead in the fifth minute of the match by a gifted goal when Youngmen’s defender Karim Uddin sent the ball to his own net (1-0).

Defender Parvej Ahmed doubled the BFF Academy margin in the 52nd minute to dominate the first half (2-0).

Striker Rafayel Tudu pulled the Youngmen’s margin one back in the 67th minute from a penalty (2-1), while another forward, Dalim Barman, levelled the Youngmen’s Club margin in the 69th minute (2-2).

Midfielder U Sing Marma scored the match-winning goal for BFF Academy in the 88th minute (3-2).

Two matches will be held on Wednesday ( February 21) after a recess on Tuesday.

NoFel Sporting Club will face PWD Sports Club at 1 pm while Wari Club will meet Farashganj Sporting Club at 3:15 pm at the same venue on Wednesday.

Dhaka Wanderers Club will encounter Uttara Football Club Limited at 3:15 pm on Friday (February 23) after recess on Thursday.

The first phase of the league will conclude on March 17.
