Month-long football training for boys begins in Rajshahi

A month-long intensive football training for the under-15 boys began on Sunday aimed at building them as competent football players.

Rajshahi District Sports Association (RDSA) is hosting the training at the Liberation War Memorial Stadium supported by Bangladesh Sports Council.

A total of 25 scrutinized boys from different upazila-level clubs and educational institutions are taking part in the training.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) and RDSA President Shamim Ahmed opened the training through releasing balloons and festoons as the chief guest with District Education Officer Jahangir Hossain in the chair.

Additional DC Kolyan Chowdhury and RDSA General Secretary Wahedun Nabi were present, among others.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Shamim said there are immense potentialities among the boys and the government has taken time-fitting steps to make them fit for the sports arena, including football, through flourishing their latent talents.

He urged the participating boys to receive the training properly and attentively so that they could build themselves as worthy citizens of the nation. BSS
