Fortis Football Club stunned Abahani Limited, Dhaka beating them by a solitary goal in the Bangladesh Premier League football held at Muktijoddha Smrity Stadium in Rajshahi on Saturday.

In the day’s match, Ukrainian forward Valeriy Gryshyn scored the all- important goal for Fortis FC in the 37th minute of the match.

Abahani Limited, however got several scoring chances but failed to stage a fight back in the match in the remaining proceeding.

Earlier, in the first round matches, Fortis Football Club suffered a 1-2 goal defeat to Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited while Abahani were held by Rahmatganj playing to a 1-1 goal draw. -BSS
