Good opportunity to get to know coach better: Ibrahim

Winger Mohammad Ibrahim said it’s a good opportunity for them to get to know the coach better as they have got a long time to take preparation for FIFA Int’l friendly matches against Cambodia and Nepal this month.

He was speaking to the pressmen today (Friday) at a pre practice session at the Armed Police Battalion ground in the city’s Uttara.

“We’ve worked with our head coach Javier Cabrera in the last few matches and it’s good opportunity for us to build up the understanding with him as we have got a long time to take preparation for FIFA Int’l friendly matches against Cambodia and Nepal this month,” he said to a questioner.

He said during the practice session the coach pointed out those mistakes which are being made and instruct correct those mistakes.

Ibrahim thinks that they have chance to win against Nepal and Cambodia because the opponents are quite familiar to them and it would be needed a good team’s effort to win those two matches.

National football team’s manager Iqbal Hossain informed that midfielder Sohel Rana would miss the friendly matches as he suffered injury during the team’s practice session. An MRI report of Sohel Rana came last night and as per the decision of the doctor Sohel was given four weeks rest to recover his injury.

Bangladesh national football team will play the two friendly matches to utilize in September FIFA window. The boys in red and green will play their first friendly match against Cambodia on September 22 in Cambodia and then play the second match against Nepal on September 27 in Nepal.
