After a three-day recess, the eighth round of TVS Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football begins today with three matches billed for the day at three separate venues across the country.
On the day, defending champions Bashundhara Kings take on Chittagong Abahani Limited at Bashundhara Sports Complex in the city at 3.30 pm, new comers Swadhinata Krira Sangha face six times league champions Abahani Limited, Dhaka, at Muktijoddha Smrity Stadium in Rajshahi at 3 pm while Saif Sporting Club meets Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at Bir Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj at 3.30 pm.
Bashundhara Kings currently dominate the league table with 18 points from seven matches while the port city team Chittagong Abahani Limited have 12 points from the same number of matches.
While Abahani Limited stand at second position in the league Table with 16 points from seven matches while Swadhinata Krira Sangha collected four points from the same number of outings.
On the other hand, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club stand at third position in the league table with 15 points from seven matches while Saif Sporting Club have secured 10 points playing the same number of matches.
